back to FAQ list >> Can the DVR detect motion to determine
when to record? ET Digital Video systems offer interval
motion detection per camera. The software allows the user to control
what area of the frame or image triggers motion. The control of
motion can be controlled within these zones and can be turned
on
or off with the click of a mouse. The motion sensing capabilities
can be controlled in the same manner a motion sensor in an existing
security system. The option of only recording based on motion sensing,
prevents scanning hours of video of a room that may not change
for
long periods of time. The standard operation
of the DVR is to recorded based on the scheduled program. <<
back to FAQ list >> What does FPS mean? Frames Per Second. This is a measurement
of how many frames of video are recorded per second and effects

back to FAQ list >> How many FPS do I need? Increasing the amount of frames per second improves the video
quality but uses more hard disk space. An optimal solution is available
for each type of application. For normal business use, 7-15 FPS
is the most widely used.
Most other companies offer 3 FPS on their standard packages, where
we normally offer a standard of 7 FPS for the same price. For Real
Time recording, the recommended rate is 30 FPS. For applications
such as monitoring cash register systems or money, 30 FPS/channel
systems are recommended. <<
back to FAQ list >> Do I need 30 FPS or close to real time
recording all cameras? Depending on the type of application that he cameras are in and
where the cameras are placed, the FPS recorded may vary. Digital
Video Recording systems are normally intended to record every-day
surveillance or crime intruders, depending on the application. <<

an internal or external network, remote viewing capability is available

the DVR system. However, most remote functions are only available
by using the client software where more than one user can access

system. << back to FAQ

to be in view. << back
to FAQ list >> How long does it take to retrieve stored
video on an ET system? Reviewing the time-indexed video is very easy. When reviewing
